What happens if my pet gets sick while I'm away or may pass away?

All efforts to contact you will be made, but in the event that you cannot be reached, we will always include in our service agreement, an agreed upon limit to be charged on veterinary care in your name. We highly recommend having a credit card on file at your vet office.

In the tragic event that your pet passes away while you are gone, we will know exactly what to do because you both will have discussed it during the meet & greet. We specifically ask about this so we know your wishes whether you wanted to keep the pets body, have it privately cremated or given to your vet.

Why should I hire a professional pet sitter?

Professional pet sitters are just what the description implies – professional.  While having friends, family, or neighbors care for your pets may seem like a logical choice, professional pet sitters do this for a living and have the experience necessary to care for your animals.  A professional pet sitter:

  • Is trained and experienced in working with all types of pet personalities and will know how to tailor your pet’s care based on their individual likes, dislikes, fears, and habits.

  • Knows how to spot and avoid potentially dangerous situations, and can react quickly and effectively when necessary.

  • Is trained and experienced in administering medications.

  • Knows how to tell if your pet needs veterinary attention.

  • Has backup in case of emergencies, car troubles or illness.

  • Can be relied on to fulfill all of your care requests on time, each and every time.

What kind of pets do you care for?

We have a wide range of experience with virtually every kind of creature; from dogs and cats, to hamsters and rabbits, iguanas and turtles, to fish and frogs, pigs and snakes, chickens and various birds, and even horses! Just let us know if you have a special pet or unusual needs, and we will do our best to exceed your expectations.

How do you determine what time you will visit my home?

Whether providing daily visits or midday dog walks to your pets, we will aim to keep as close to your pet’s routines as possible. Just let us know the 2 hour time range you prefer your scheduled visit to take place. When you meet for your initial consultation, you will let your sitter know all you can about your pets’ normal activities, and they’ll do their very best to keep that same routine!

Do you administer all types of medications?

Yes, as long as your pets do not pose a threat to the sitter. When you first contact us, be sure to let us know of your pet’s individual medicinal needs so we can provide you with the proper staff member who is able to administer them. Additional fees may apply for specialized or complex medication routines including injections, IVs, or other specialized services outside oral and topical methods.
